Flying from Basel Mulhouse now France is on the UK quarantine list
Now that the UK has put France, but not Switzerland, on the quarantine list, how does that work with flying out of Basel Mulhouse, technically on French soil, but joined to Switzerland with its own customs road, with Swiss customs granting access to Switzerland in the airport? I'll be calling tomorrow to ask their thoughts on it, but thought I'd ask here what your views are, or if similar topics have come up in the past. Edit: Just to include the primary information in the header for others interested: Euroairport is not yet sure itself, they asked me to call back tomorrow or Monday. I will do so and update here. The UK Embassy in Bern directed me to the Home Office. The Home Office Coronavirus Helpline are also not sure on the technicalities. They asked if the Airport was in France, and I said yes, but it has separate entry/exit for the 2 countries. They said to make sure you fill in the travel details card, and would "recommend" quarantine as the "safer option." Please can someone explain why France has not implemented a reciprical quarantine for UK travellers, I'm pretty sure one of your junior ministers Tweeted straight away that measures would be put in place shortly and then he said that measures would be announced within the coming days, that was on Monday. So what is going on? I am scheduled to go to France from the UK on September 24th. Bonus question: can you see the French government banning all non-essential travel again if cases don't fall?
